Who’s behind Momentum?

Momentum has three founding directors, who together have over 50 years’ experience within the workplace and office furniture market.

The directors are:

Martin Stocks — Managing Director, Momentum
David Deiraniya — Director, Momentum
John James — Director, Momentum

After several years spent working in the office furniture industry, Martin, David and John set up Furniture for Business (FFB) in 1991 to offer clients a different, service-led approach.

In contrast to many other businesses, FFB is a quality led company — it was the first company within the industry to be accredited with the Investors in People and the ISO9001 awards. To complement and enhance their experience, the directors have continued to develop their own skills as the business has grown through alliances with organisations such as:

  • Cranfield School of Management
  • Baker Tilly
  • Mercuri Sales Management Programme

Based on market research and experience, the Momentum concept was developed to create client focussed sales organisations with low overheads, but the support of specialist resources, that are able to effectively compete even for the large, prestigious projects.
